Finding Music For Opening Sequence

Hi Blog! Exciting news we wrapped up filming and editing. We are now in the final stages of completing our film. All we need to do now is add music. My group and I looked for music to add to our film. When looking for music we were looking for music that is spooky and scary. To give it that scary vibe that it's in horror films. We were trying to find songs that were like songs made by Radiohead, and Deftones. We decided to use the song song 'Back To School' by the music group Deftones. It was licensed by Warner Records. We sent the email acquire if we can use there music for our film. But we ran into a problem. We emailed them but there was no reply. Since we had no reply we can't use this music. Due to time being limited we resulted using copyright free music. This is okay though. Even though we didn't want to use copyright free music it still worked out for us. As copyright free music is super coinvent Since we just need to look for one on YouTube and just find o

Finishing Editing

Hello Cambridge ! It's great to be back and I hope you're all doing well. Here's a update on our film process. After consideration among our team, we've decided to maintain the existing footage without further filming. Unfortunately, our busy schedules have made it challenging to coordinate additional filming sessions. But dont worry and rest assured were dedicating our time into editing to ensure the final product is the best we can do. Right now were focusing on getting the editing done. As mentioned in a previous blog post, we're using  Adobe Premiere Pro to edit the  footage we've captured. Collaborating with my team, I've been involved in guiding the editing process for this new footage. We agreed that  the new footage should be added to the beginning of the video would make the footage flow better. It was also a better fit then the footage that was previously in the beginning. This decision was reached through thoughtful discussion through texting. Onc

Filming more footage

Hi Cambridge, welcome back! Today we are filming more footage for our  . Since it didn't reach our 2 minute video goal. My teammate Jaden came up with the idea of filming a scene with a missing poster. He thought it would be a good idea too show someone is missing from the elf killer to build more suspense. This helps adds the storyline more and makes it seem more put together. The poster was made by my teammate Andrea. She used picsart to make the poster. Picsart is a photo editing app that your able to edit your photos and has a bunch of different options that you can do to edit it. Like it has stickers you can add and more. It took her about 30 minutes to make the poster. After the poster was made she sent it to us to review the poster. We all approved the poster, which then Jaden started filming the scene with the poster. Jaden started to edit the video with new footage. But we ran into another problem. There still wasn't footage to meet our 2 minute goal. So now we are cu

Editing

Welcome back! For my blog today I'm going to be talking about the editing process. My group member Jaden took the task of editing. It took awhile to start the editing process due to altercations. Like scheduling problems. We were having trouble finding a day where we could go after school to start the editing but everyone was just too busy with preplanned engagements. But Jaden was able to make time to be able to edit. He used the editing program called Adobe Creative Cloud. Adobe Creative Cloud is a set of applications and services from Adobe Inc. That gives subscribers access to a collection of software used for graphic design, video editing, web development, photography, along with a set of mobile applications and also some optional cloud services. Jaden used this software before which was why  he decided to choose this application since he was familiar with it. He also had easy access to using Adobe Creative Cloud. Since it was available in our local library. He was able to edi

Filming Scenery

Hello, Blog! During our time at the park, we filmed. But when we filmed we also aimed to capture the land scape and the scenery. We captured scenery, of water, the sky, trees, and ditch. The ditch is where we filmed a lot of our scenes with the actors. We used the ditch to film the killing scenes. We made sure we filmed the landscape because it helped show the setting of the film. When we filmed the sky scenes it included the river scenes as well. When we filmed it was at night and it really conveyed that the genre was horror due to the dark lighting. We also wanted to film the trees to show that we were in a forest setting. When filming the scenery we had to make sure we were in a good area that didn't distract the viewer away from the setting. So we made sure there was no people because we really wanted the attention to be on the nature. We had to steady camera because we wanted a still shot and we didn't want it to be shaky. We then reviewed what we filmed. We had to refilm

Doing Makeup

Hello, and welcome back to my blog! Today, I'm diving deep into the  details of the filming process, focusing specifically on the makeup process. I was in charge of being the makeup artist. Having a makeup artist is important to be able to make the actors seems like there really living the part. I made sure to gather all the necessary tools to bring our characters to life. My kit had makeup brushes, each serving a specific purpose in achieving the desired effects. Eyeshadow palettes I used to make bruises and shadows, to add depth to the actors appearances. And of course, no horror film would be complete without a fake blood, which is essential in creating scenes of suspense and horror. The application process was stressful because it required  attention to detail. With the eyeshadow, I made  bruises and placed them on the face and hands and arms to convey the experiences our characters had endured. Then came the fake blood, I  applied it to our actors, transforming them into the u

During Filming

Hey Cambridge! Welcome back to my blog it's great to have you back. In this blog I'll take you behind the scenes of the filming process. During the filming process it went extremely well and we didn't have any problems. When filming we made sure to get the best scenes. We didn't have a specific schedule so we had to plan everything when we all have arrived at the park. When arriving at the park we all were extremely excited to begin filming. The very first thing we did was a find a area in the park to film. We didn't film everything at that one specific area. Later on we move too different areas of the park to film. After finding a area to film we started going over our story and how we were going to film each scene. We used our storyboard to know how to film each scene. Jaden was filming and Andrea, Angelica, and Luka were all acting while I helped with directing the scenes. We decided what scenes we were going to film by going in the story order. Each scene we had

Filming at the park

Hi Cambridge! Welcome back to my blog. We started filming for our final task on January 27. I was picked up by my group member Andrea to go to the park in the evening for filming. We arrived at the park around 5:30. We then joined our other group members. As for preparations, I took charge of health and safety measures by providing essential items. I researched common items that are in a first aid safety kit to buy so we could use them. I researched the common essential items were bandaids, instant ice packs, and water bottles. My mom took me to target and I was able to find all the items I was looking for. I also got chips and cookies as a snack so I could share them with my group members. When we arrived at the park I carried a bag with me with all the stuff I have bought so I could be ready to use them wherever we go. Throughout the filming process, I remained alert, ensuring a safe environment for all of my group members. I also provided water bottles to anyone who was dehydrated a
