Also the way the actors looked tired, by the make up of  dark circle's, bruises, dirt and cuts really gave the effect of how they were going through a lot from the zombies. It shows how bad the zombies effect were and how dangerous they were. The clothing appealed to me also as it showed how there clothes got ruined from running away

Movie Research: 47 Meters Down: Uncaged

Genre Research: 47 Meters Down: Uncaged What elements of the genre that you chose to base your final task on does this movie have? The elements of the genre that I chose to base my final task on that this movie have is the lighting of the movie. In the beginning of the movie the movie has a really bright lighting but as the movie progressed the lighting becomes really dull and dark. I choose these elements because it's important for horror movies to have dark lighting to create the horror and dark effect. But also for the balance of having both light and dark lighting for our final task. What elements of the genre did this movie have that you like? Element of the movie that I liked are the narrative. I liked how the movie starts off it being a normal day for a group of teenagers but then eventually becomes one of the worst days of there lives. It shows a continuous timeline from start to end and doesn't cut to the end or the middle. It makes it easier to follow the storyline.

Which are potential angles that we might chose to do on the final task.  What elements of the genre did this movie have that you like? Elements of the genre in the movie that I did like are the tracking shots. The tracking shots really gave the film more suspense and contributed to the theme. It contributed to the theme horror by the tracking shots showing fear of the person being chased at that suggests panic. This shows how scared the person is creating a horror them. Also shows the audience the type of movie it is. What element of the g

Genre Decision Blog

Hi Guys! Welcome back. For our opening sequence as a group we decided too do the genre Horror. We decided to choose this genre because it will go best with our pitched idea. Our pitch idea is too do a murder story and the movie elements like cams, clamps, sound, and editing work with what were going for. Horror movies have really dark lighting and uses jump cuts which would be a good mood to use for making a murder film. While the other genres Christmas and mystery wouldn't work because Christmas a has a really bright positive mood and mystery doesn't give as much suspense than horror does. Which is why we decided to choose horror as our genre.

Genre Research: Horror

Common Camera Angles (CAMS) - wide shots - tracking shots - close up - tilted shots - dutch angle Common Mis-En- Scene - dark lighting - casual clothes - intense makeup Common Editing - fade out -jump cuts - fade in Common Sound -non diegetic sound - ambient sound Example Films - Smile - Black Phone What elements of the genre do you like? What elements of the genre do not appeal to you? Elements of the genre that don't appeal to me is the storyline. I personally don't like horror movies or watching them because I don't like the story since it's too scary and can be hard to watch sometimes.

Genre Research: Mystery

Common Camera Angles (CAMS) - birds eye view - panning shot - closed shot - tilted shots - high angles shots -tracking shots - wide shots Common Mis-En- Scene - dark lighting - casual clothes - simple makeup - sets are where the mystery takes place - props are clues left behind Common Editing - fade out -jump cut -action match Common Sound - dialogue -voice over -ambient sound -non diegetic sound Example Films - Class Onion - Indiana Jones - Murder Mystery 2 What elements of the genre do you like? The editing and storylines also are really interesting and makes it easy to be invested in the storyline. What elements of the genre do not appeal to you? Elements of the genre that don't appeal to me are the music. The music is too dramatic and music is only played in scenes that have sound effects on objects.

Our Pitch

Pitch A: Pitch A is about a teenager camping and got murdered. Pitch B: Pitch B is about a wife who is walking on a road and got killed. I would be interested in doing Pitch A because I like the idea about doing a camping murder. We could do many different things with this unlike the other pitch which is only limited to one setting while the setting of doing it in a forest is more appealing to me. Also we already have a filming location in mind for doing this decision. It's a park and it's perfect for me since I live really close to it and it's free. Also since were all teenagers it works out more in being actors. I would not be interested in pitch B because I feel like it would be harder to find a location. There are many different roads but I feel like it would be hard to film due to cars. Also its kind of hard to do since we couldn't think of a specific story. Also there wouldn't be much for us to do as it's short scene. We wouldn't be able to have enough

Group Blog

Hi everyone, Welcome back! Today I'm starting the final task. The first thing I did was picking a group to work with. For the final task I'm going to be working with Andrea, Angelica, and Jaden. I'm working with them because for my last project I worked with my sister for the music video and I wanted to work with a different group of people. However even though I'm working with other people I'm still going to be helping my sister out with her final task. Working with new people helps provide new perspectives and skills to the group and I thought it would be good idea to change it up and try something new. They can help teach me with new things that can help improve my current and future work projects. Also help me learn and see new ideas. Not only that I could also help with the workload and bring less stress when completing the project. I think this is a great and amazing opportunity because working in a team can help encourage personal growth. We can all benefit a

Intro Blog

Hi, my name is Natalie Ehney and I am 15 years old and a sophomore in high school. One thing about me is I have 2 dogs. There names are neptune and rosé but we call her rosie for short. My very first dog was neptune and I got him in 6th grade. So it's been 4 years since I had him. He used to be very small but now he is more grown. I got my second dog 3 years later. My family and I decided to get another dog because we loved having another dog so much and thought that our other dog could use another dog to be with. Since most of the time he was alone because I had school and my mom was at work. At first my first dog didn't like her but soon he came to adjust to her and now they are like best friends. They are one of my favorite things ever. In my free time, I go to practice after school. The sport I do is swimming and I recently go into it around last October and just joined the swim team at my school. I am not the best at it but I really enjoy it and hope to improve more. I al
