Editing: Title Credits
Hey! Im continue working on the editing of my short film. I've been meticulously editing my short film, focusing on the title credits. Initially, I experimented with various fonts and animations available in CapCut for the opening credits. I ultimately opted for a minimalist font, utilizing a classic black and white color scheme because it was clear to read. For the animation, I chose a 'glitch' effect followed by a fade-out transition. These credits were positioned at different points on the screen, each displayed for approximately 1.5 seconds to maintain the same pace.To emphasize the film's title, I employed a different approach. The title appears in white, accompanied by a fade-in and fade-out animation, combined with a movement effect. The title is prominently placed in the center of the screen and presented in a larger size than the other credits, designed to immediately capture the viewer's attention. My intent in differentiating the film's title in this way was to create a clear visual hierarchy and ensure it stands out from the rest of the opening credits. This approach aims to establish a professional tone and draw the audience into the film right from the start. I then exported my final short film and reversed it because I wanted to show the morning being repeated. I added a reverse video sound effect to that part so people know that everything is being repeated again. Towards the end of the film where the character is starting the same morning again I decided to use a sound effect of birds chirping because I wanted to create like s eerie feeling that everything is normal but the scene doesn’t really show that. I though this would also help to make the audience more intrigued and curious about the film. That was the all I had to edit and I was completely done with editing. I need to review the footage and make sure I don’t need to make any edits. I’ll do that next time. But I didn’t have any more to edit and that was all I did. Thank you for your time and see you in the next blog.
