Short film research: ANA / Science Fiction

Welcome back! "Ana" is a science fiction film that I researched to find more info about the genre. I learned many different elements that the film used. The film depicts angles like over the shoulder shot, establishing shot, medium close up, tracking shot, and dutch angle. All these angles are used to show what’s happening to this guy working in a factory that makes cars. However instead of workers making the cars there are robots making the cars.In my previous research the same sound is used. Dialogue and non-diegetic sound is a common sound that I seen in this genre. Non diegetic sound is used to increase the intensity of the story and add more suspense to the mood. The lighting of the film is dim and cool. In one point of the film the lights are flickering to show that something wrong is happening that is being caused by the robots. The robots who tried to kill the worker and was watching him through the security camera footage. The setting is set in the same location but switches from different areas of the location. Like the setting went from the office then too the area where cars are being manufactured. When the location is being changed a tracking shot was used to follow the guy into that area. The guy wears normal worker clothes that is a tshirt and pants colored blue. There are different props used like ipad, phone , a key that gives access to computers, and computers. There are many different types technology involved that can be seen. This show that it’s in a futuristic and technology era setting. That’s one of the elements I liked about the film was the different use of props. I liked how all the props show the type of time and era the film is set to be in. All of the props are all similar to each other. A element I disliked is the lack of editing I believe adding more of a fade in and fade out would of have made the film better and more editing like split screen. But the film does a great job in depicting the genre.
